Single-item moving
Single-item moving means taking one or a few items from one address to another with a small truck and a two-person crew. It works well for marketplace purchases, student moves and single pieces of furniture.
The price depends on the size of the item, the stairs and the distance. Because we send a cargo van instead of a large truck, it costs noticeably less than a full move.
Process
Step by step
- 01
Photos and measurements
You send a photo and the size of the item, plus floor and elevator details at both ends.
- 02
Price
You get a written price the same day. The number of items and the distance set the price.
- 03
Pickup
The crew wraps the item, takes it apart if needed and secures it in the truck.
- 04
Delivery
The item is placed in the room you choose and put back together if it was taken apart.

Common mistakes
- Not measuring whether the item fits through doors and stairwells.
- Not emptying and defrosting the refrigerator before the move.
- Not installing the shipping bolts on a front-load washer.
- Saying "a couch" without the size. A loveseat and a sectional need different trucks.

Will you send a truck for one item?

Can you wrap the item for me?
Yes. Couches and mattresses are wrapped in moving pads and plastic wrap at no extra charge.
Can you pick up and deliver the same day?
Local single-item moves are usually done the same day. For items going out of town, you get a written delivery date.
